Highlights of LHC top quark physics
Abstract: Run 2 of the LHC has brought a wealth of newinformation on the top quark. Recent analyses by ATLAS and CMS provideprecision measurements of top quark properties. New differential cross sectionmeasurements in top quark pair production challenge the precision of state-of-the-artStandard Model predictions. The study of new, rare top quark productionprocesses provides a direct probe of the top quark couplings to the Higgsboson, the photon and Z-boson and maps out the four-top-quark vertex. In thisseminar, a selection of highlights of the run 2 program is discussed, and aprojection is made of future improvements at the LHC and beyond.
