This is the fifth EPS Conference on Gravitation organized by the Gravitational Physics Division of the European Physical Society. The scientific program runs over three full days (Monday to Wednesday), with arrival on Sunday and departure on Thursday. Participants are expected to attend for the entire duration. Besides invited talks by the keynote speakers (30min +5min Q&A), there will be contributed talks (15min +5min Q&A), three round table discussions (chairs and topics tba) and a poster session.
Abstracts for posters and contributed talks should be submitted during the online registration. They will be screened and selected by the organizers for suitability, and are subject to availability of time and space.
Local registration at the conference venue begins on Monday, Dec 9, at 8.00am, prior to the start of the program at 8.45am. Our social activities include a reception on Monday evening, an organ concert arranged especially for the conference participants on Tuesday evening, followed by the conference dinner, and a guided walking tour on Wednesday evening, which will take us along places connected to famous scientists that once lived and worked in Prague.
Lunches will be self-organized. There are plenty of options to cater for every taste and budget. They include a couple of cafeterias in easy walking distance, which offer warm and cold lunches at very competitive prices, the Spalena Cafeteria of a local polyclinic (open 11.00-14.00h, weekly menu published on the website) and the university refectory Arnošta z Pardubic (open 11.00-14.15h, weekly menu published here). It goes (almost) without saying that our host city Prague is a beautiful and vibrant place, with an enormous number of things to do, see and explore, so consider staying for an extra day before or after the conference!
